Off to China: Information Evening on the 2026 Exchange Programme
China is not only a fascinating travel destination that is currently trending but also offers a valuable learning environment for vocational and professional training for vocational and professional training. For aspiring state-certified technicians in particular, the country opens up exciting perspectives: Between highly developed industry, globally connected production processes and rapid technological progress, developments become visible that are shaping the world of work of tomorrow.
This is where the Eckert Schulen China Exchange program comes in. During the evening, Ms Lei, Project Manager at Eckert Schools International, presented the planned program for autumn 2026. The strong interest in the exchange program was already evident in advance: a total of 63 registrations were received for this information day.
The trip will take place from 1 to 13 November 2026 and will lead participants to Shanghai and Lishui. It is aimed at 12 to 20 aspiring state-certified technicians. The focus will be on specialist training sessions, excursions to high-tech companies and personal exchange with Chinese partner colleges. Possible programme items range from additive manufacturing technology and drone technology to industrial network technology. Company visits, for example in the fields of 3D printing, industrial robotics as well as air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump technology, are also planned. In the next step, the specific program will be adapted to the disciplines of the actual participants and coordinated with the partner colleges.
In addition to the technical insights, cultural exchange will also play an important role. Participants will have the opportunity to meet Chinese students, take part in workshops and experience the country’s culture first-hand. Planned activities include traditional crafts, Chinese musical instruments, a dumpling workshop and sporting activities with students on site. A free weekend in Shanghai will also offer the opportunity to explore the metropolis individually.
To accompany the presentation, various exhibits were displayed, giving first impressions of the country and its culture. This gave interested participants a small preview of what awaits them in November.
The registration deadline is 17 July 2026. Registration takes place via the form for additional qualifications at the secretariat of the Dr. Eckert Academy.
