Eckert Schools International run train-the-trainer program for China

From 20 September until 28 September 2018, Eckert Schools International again conducted a train-the-trainer program for Chinese VET teachers.

Nine participants of the Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology successfully participated in the training program.

This teacher training program focuses on the implementation of German dual training, the conduct of the IHK examinations, didactics and methodology of vocational education, Industry 4.0 and the changes in vocational education in the digital world. At Dr. Eckert Akademie, the participants experienced a class in the field of industrial psychology and saw, how action-oriented teaching methods were implemented in the teaching. In the course of discussions with Mr. Mario Menzel, Managing Director of Train 4 Train GmbH, the participants had the opportunity to hear details about current rail and rail transport topics in Germany. During a visit to the Training and Simulator Center of Deutsche Bahn AG in Munich, the participants learned about the implementation of the training curriculum in the company. The Chinese guests were thrilled by cutting edge German technology during a factory tour of the BMW plant in Landshut.

Discussions on cooperation took place during the train-the-trainer program. Mr. Gerald Saule, Head of Vocational Training International, presented the training measure of the Dr. Eckert Akademie, which teaches the participants to become a train driver. He also discussed with Ms. Yuhui Wang, Head of Engine Training Department of Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology, the possibilities of a cooperation in the field of a training which should result in a permission for Chinese participants to be trained as German train drivers.
