Teaching Across Cultures: Intercultural Training Competence

Teaching Across Cultures prepares international trainers, instructors and teachers for the demands of multicultural learning environments. The module combines intercultural communication, didactic adaptability and practice-oriented strategies for successful teaching in international educational contexts.

The focus is on the question of how vocational education can be designed effectively when learners bring different linguistic, cultural and pedagogical backgrounds with them. Participants reflect on their own teaching assumptions, learn to better understand different learning cultures and develop concrete strategies for professionally working with heterogeneous groups.

The programme can be integrated into existing train-the-trainer programmes as a supplementary or cross-cutting module and supports the successful transfer of vocational education concepts into international contexts.

Format: 

• 5-day summer school in person at the Regenstauf Campus
• Fully experience-based training format
• Can also be implemented as a 3-day compact version on request
• Implementation at international locations possible
• Available languages: English, Spanish and Italian

The content of the Human Skills Lab is designed for action-oriented learning, teamwork and direct transfer into professional contexts:

Creativity and solution-oriented thinking

Participants become familiar with methods that can be used to structure complex questions, develop ideas and create new solution approaches. Design thinking can be used as a methodological framework in this process.

Resilience and personal ability to act

The training strengthens the conscious handling of uncertainty, change and challenging situations. The focus is on the ability to remain focused, reflective and capable of action, even in dynamic working environments.

Leadership and collaboration in international contexts

Participants engage with modern leadership, role perception, team dynamics and communication. The emphasis is on cooperative action, responsibility and the constructive handling of different perspectives.

Gamification and serious games

Game-based methods are used to make learning processes active, experiential and reflective. Participants experience how gamification and serious games can be used for competence development, motivation and problem-solving.

Transfer into everyday professional practice

At the end, participants develop concrete tools, methods or approaches that can be applied in their own work, learning or training context.
